L’Oreal Sublime Mousse Hair Color: My Experience

Hair Before
Before.
I last colored my hair a similar shade of dark brown in early March, so this is the faded out version, although it’s still darker than my natural color.
Hair During
During.
One thing to note is how there isn’t any of the color anywhere in/around the sink. There also wasn’t any on the toilet seat, the floor, the wall, or the bath mat. There was also substantially less on my neck and ears than with the more standard, more liquidy colors.
I didn’t like the scent of the conditioner that came with it at all. It was kind of like baby powder. I most often use a Garnier hair color and I absolutely love the scent of that conditioner, so maybe I’m just used to that. Luckily this fragrance didn’t linger on the hair like the Garnier one does.
Hair After
After.
The color did actually get on every hair, at least so I can tell! Last time I colored my hair, there were definitely some sections I missed (you can probably see some in the Before shots) or that were lighter than others.
I did like how little mess there was in the application. Not sure if I’ll repurchase yet, though. It’ll depend on how well the color lasts.
Have you tried mousse hair colors before, either this one or others? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

  1. I have been wanting to try this for awhile, i have to dye my hair every 3 weeks so anything that makes it easier am all up for it, did u think the application went on smoother then with the regular hair dye?

  2. It was certainly easier. I didn't have to section off my hair, it was less messy, and I got it on every hair! I can't say that for the regular hair colors I've used.
