L.A. Colors Color Craze Nail Polish Set - Swatches

These are the nail polishes I used the week of November 7th - 13th. I got them all together in a set from Marshall's. Unfortunately, the individual polishes do not have names. The photos are in reverse order - I wore the orange on the 13th and they go backwards from there.

Rainbow Eyes : Inspired by Pixiwoo

After watching this video from Pixiwoo this week I knew I was going to have to recreate it for myself! I didn't copy everything exactly - it was more of an inspiration.
I highlighted the shadows I used because I thought it'd be easier that way.
NYX Yellow Funk, Jordana Luv2$hop,Wet n Wild Enter A New Realm (red only), generic 88 palette from eBay (mix of three greens), MUFE #92 and #75, Wet n Wild I <3 Matte (blue only)
Products and tools used to create the look.

I first put a layer of Urban Decay Primer Potion and a layer of NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk over the entire lid up to the brows and under the eyes. I used NYX eyeliner in Acid Green under the green area because I thought the green might need a little extra. Then I did all the shadow work, then brows, then lashes.

I used the darker powder in the Tweezerman brow powder duo for my brows.
To get the blue lashes, I used the white primer side of Revlon Lash Fantasy Total Definition mascara, then applied several layers of blue eyeshadow with a sort of flat-topped eyeshadow brush.

Rainbow and White Crackle Manicure

This is probably my favorite manicure I’ve done to date. It’s so fun! And it lasted really well on my nails.

The top picture is me trying out different things on my nail wheel. I knew I wouldn’t be patient enough to try to get the lines straight and even enough to leave them alone, so crackle seemed like a good solution. I thought I would like the contrast of the black, but I ended up loving the look of the white.

Rainbow and White Crackle Nails

I started with a base layer of China Glaze White On White. The pink is Covergirl Fuchsia Girl, blue is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Blue Me Away, the yellow is the Xtreme Wear in Mellow Yellow, and the orange is Maybelline Orange Blazes.

After the stripes were dried, I went over with China Glaze Lightning Bolt crackle polish.

I used the China Glaze Strong Adhesion base coat and the Fast Forward top coat as well.

Look of the day: Rainbow eyes!

I forgot to write down the products I used on my face! I'm pretty sure I used the ELF Studio blush in Pink Passion, and I know that I used NYX Megashine lipgloss in La-La.
For this look, I started with Palladio eye primer, then put on NYX jumbo eye pencil in Yellow on the inner 1/3 of my lid and the jumbo eye pencil in Cherry on the rest of the lid. Next, I used NYX single eyeshadow in Yellow Funk on the inner 1/2 and NYX single eyeshadow in Cherry on the outer 1/2. I went over the line where they met with Jordana single eyeshadow in Luv2Shop.
For the bottom, I lined the inner 1/2 with NYX eyeliner in Acid Green and the outer 1/2 with the purple from the Physician's Formula gel creamliner trio for green eyes. I went over the green with the Covergirl single in Kelly Green and the purple is a shadow I got a few years ago from Merle Norman. It was part of a line called Luxiva. I have no idea what it's called or if it's still available. It's basically a shimmery lilac shade.
The blue eyeliner is the Milani Infinite liquid liner in Infinite.
I used L'Oreal Telescopic mascara in Carbon Black on my top and bottom lashes.
In order to clean up the outer edge, I wiped away the excess red with an Almay eye makeup remover pad that I folded in half to make a flat edge.

Multicolored French Tips

I know. This is a terrible picture. It's not even a little bit focused. But that's what I get for being too lazy to get out my real camera and only documenting these nails with my phone's camera. Despite this being a horrible representation, I felt like these nails were cool enough to still post about it. I did these much earlier in the summer. Basically, I wanted to do something crazy but still somewhat low-key.

Orange(Thumb): ELF Polish in Fire Coral
Pink: Covergirl Polish in Fuchsia Girl
Purple: China Glaze Polish in Spontaneous
Blue: Sally Hansen Polish in Blue Me Away
Green: ORLY Polish in Green With Envy
Pinky French Base Color: China Glaze Polish in Innocence

When I do French tips, I don't have too much trouble making the line fairly straight. My problem is in getting nail polish all over the finger as well as the nail. To combat this, I spread Vaseline all around my nails (NOT on them!!) before I start to paint them. The polish will dry onto the Vaseline, but the Vaseline just rubs right off. Just a little tip.
