Favorite Lipsticks for Cooler Weather

I've been planning on making this post for awhile but was struggling to narrow down my choices since many of them were fairly similar. Then I figured, why narrow it at all? Some of these colors may be easier to find than others, or the finish is different enough to make it worth it. In general, my favorite formulas are the Revlon Super Lustrous (all the ones I chose from that line are the creme finish, not frost or matte) and MAC.

Face of the Day - Labor Day 2012

For today's look, I originally just did the greens on the lids, but I felt like I wanted something a bit bolder than that. I decided to add purple underneath the eyes and tie in a purple lipstick as well. My outfit today, while mostly black, also had a purple accent so it seemed to fit!

The powder eyeshadows I used were a trio from Stila called Laurel Canyon and Make Up For Ever's #92. The blush was Milani Minerals in Mai Tai, lipstick was Berry Haute from Revlon's Super Lustrous line, and the eyeliner was Kat Von D's Autograph eyeliner in Proud Peacock.

Nail Polish Collection - Bottle Photos

I recently took on the project of arranging my polishes by color and swatching them in a small notebook I can easily take with me to ensure new polishes I see in stores are actually unique to my collection, as it's getting to the point where it's easy to have repeats. As a way of cataloging which polishes made which swatch, I took photos of them in the same order I swatched them. I didn't photograph the two Konad polishes or any of my base/topcoats, but this is everything else. If you've been following my blog for a very long time, you may remember that this is very similar to looks I used to do pretty often a few years back. (I'm sure there's at least one post of a looks similar to this one) I still love it - I had just been really trying to try a lot of different looks! I've been wanting to do more of my very bright looks like I used to do almost daily again recently - maybe I'll stick with it, we'll see!

Stormy Pink can hardly be called hot pink but it looks very bright in the tube. I picked up because I assumed it would be bright, since it isn't at all what it looks like I thought I'd include it as a warning! (Or if you want a toned down version)

Pink Gradient Nails

I may have a ton of nail polishes, but I don’t have every  color out there! Therefore, my attempt at a gradient manicure is far from perfect – some pinks are more cool and others are warmer, and there are certainly uneven jumps in darkness. Despite that, I thought it turned out pretty nicely.
