New Eyeshadow Swatches : Sleek, Stila, The Balm
Thought I'd share swatches of the eyeshadow palettes I've gotten the last few weeks. I really like all of them. All swatches done over NYX white eyeshadow base with a sponge-tip applicator. You can click the photos if you want to view them larger. If you have any questions, let me know!

Wet n Wild - Flora & Fauna Collections
Fauna Collection |
Flora Collection |
Honestly, the only thing I like in the entire Fauna set is the turquoise-y shadow. I was so disappointed by the purple! It looks so pretty in the pan but it swatches horribly - so little pigmentation! Which I don't understand since they're clearly able to make properly pigmented shadows...I already have the blush that color, although the small size is nice for travel. I'm really pleased with the Flora set, though! Although I doubt I'll use either of the lipglosses.
Have you seen this around? What do you think of them?

Sephora & Ulta haul
I'm visiting my family this week and I decided to wait until I was here to go to the Sephora in the JC Penney and the Ulta because it's a bit more convenient to do here since I can drive.
At Sephora I was planning to just pick up the birthday gift but then I saw some Stila eyeshadow trios in the samples area by the checkout & it was $12! I got the one called Laurel Canyon. I've never used Stila before but they seem really nice. In case you hadn't heard yet, the gift this year is a duo of fresh sugar lip treatments. The girl at checkout gave me two little samples of the Sephora Instant Moisturizer. I haven't tried any of these yet as I just got them last night.
Today I went to Ulta with my mom. Most of the Ulta cosmetics were buy one get one free, and my mom found one of the Extreme Wear Cream Eyeshadows she liked, so I got one too. The one I chose is called Misbehavin', and it's a kind of sage green/gunmetal combination type shade. I redeemed my points for the free Ulta nail polish in Peach Parfait. NYX was by one get one 50% off and there were some shades of jumbo pencil I hadn't seen before. I chose Cucumber and Peacock. I also got a Revlon nail polish in Gold Coin that I think I'll try to incorporate into a St.Patrick's day manicure if I get around to doing one. The last thing I got at Ulta was another can of Batiste dry shampoo. It was bigger than the ones I get at Sally's and the packaging looks a bit different as well.
I haven't taken photos of anything yet since I just brought my small point & shoot camera with me. I'll try to take some photos outside to see if using sunlight helps the photos turn out more accurately (plus it's just really nice out!) Otherwise It'll just have to wait until I'm back home.
If you've tried any of these products I'd love to hear what you think of them!
